Tips to Help Cope With S.A.D

We are heading in the winter season and holiday season. For some, this is a joyous time of the year because they get to be with family and have their love buckets replenished. For others, this time of year brings a different emotion. It can be because of their family dynamic, plans for the season or the weather. 

A common disorder during the winter months is Season Affective Disorder (SAD), a type of depression. SAD symptoms start in the late fall or early winter and go away during the spring and summer. SAD occurs much more often in women than in men. There are no current definite causes for SAD but it’s here and it’s real. Let’s be proactive, educate ourselves and find ways to cope with some of the suggestions the Health and Wellness team have for you.
